How do I get home after a night out?

The German Foreign Office advises taking taxis rather than public transport at night – so order a taxi or Uber to pick you up right outside the venue instead of walking. The metro doesn't run all night anyway: usually from 5am to midnight on weekdays and 7am to 11pm on Sundays, with extended hours for big events. Don't walk home along empty streets or the beach at night.
